Ambleaf

FAQ

Before you go. After you return.

Do I need an account or upload my outings?

No Ambleaf account is required. Outings stay on the device, with no Ambleaf backend receiving them. Maps, place names and iCloud photos may use Apple network services. See Privacy.

Why can the route differ from where I walked?

Buildings, indoor areas, tree cover and location accuracy can affect GPS. Check location permissions and Precise Location, then try an open area. Report persistent misalignment with your version and steps. Location correctness is Ambleaf’s highest verification priority.

Why are some photos missing?

Capture time, photo access, available location and iCloud download status can affect matching. Use Add from Photos to select pictures and review which ones are included on your card.

Why are photos cropped?

Landscape and portrait photos fit the card slots. Adjust cropping in the photo editor. Home covers and the share card’s main photo are independent.

What can I do with a card?

Choose photos, adjust framing, and switch photo styles and layouts. Available layouts depend on the number and orientation of your photos. See the App Store page for available app features.

Does deleting an outing delete original photos?

No. It removes Ambleaf’s outing, associations and caches. Originals remain in your Photo Library. Cards already saved to Photos are managed there.

Where can I find feature details?

See the App Store page for available app features. For help using the app, contact the author through Feedback in Settings.

Which date is shown on a card?

The title date comes from the start of your outing. The statistics show a time-of-day label or your chosen tag, distance and duration. Any displayed departure time also comes from the outing’s start time.
